Laguna, Santa Catarina. Brazil

Laguna - Santa Catarina
Laguna - Santa Catarina - Brazil

In Laguna passes the imaginary line of the Tordesilhas treaty signed in 1494 between Spain and Portugal, so it was the most meridional city of Brazil.
Santo Antonio dos Anjos de Laguna village was founded in 1684, but there are some people from Capitania de Sao Vicente (today this is São Paulo) were living here since 1676 that came together with the bandeirante Domingos de Brito Peixoto.
Officially the village was created in 1714 and became a city in 1847 more than one 100 years later.
Those houses are from the from the first half of the XXth century.
The yellow hydrant kind of give a funny touch to that image, don´t you think?
