Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Rio De Janeiro (January’s River), is commonly referred to as ‘Rio’. It
is the 2nd largest city in Brazil, 6th largest city in the Americas, and
35th largest city in the world by population. Part of this city is has
been designated as ‘World Heritage Site’ and named ‘Rio de Janeiro:
Carioca Landscapes between the Sea and the Mountain’, which identified
by UNESCO on January 1, 2012, in the category ‘Cultural Landscape’. Rio
de Janeiro is capital of the state of the ‘Rio de Janeiro’, the Brazil’s
3rd most populous state.
The city Founded in the year 1565, by the
Portuguese, was initially seat of the ‘Captaincy of Rio de Janeiro’, the
captaincy of Portuguese Empire, and later in the year 1973, the city
became capital of the State of Brazil’ a State of Portuguese Empire.
Rio
De Janeiro is the one of most visited cities in Southern Hemisphere,
known for its natural settings, Samba, Bossa Nova, Carnival
Celebrations, Balneario Beaches (such as Copacabana, Barra da Tijuca,
Leblon and Ipanema).
The Rio De Janeiro has without any shadow of a doubt one of most stunning settings in the world.
The Rio de Janeiro will host ‘2016 Summer Olympics’ Games and the ‘2016 Summer Paralympics’
